The buzz about organics is everywhere, so what is the deal anyway? Chemical agriculture destroys delicate microbial soil life from the salt and chemical impurities they contain. The chemicals that fertilizers contain are bound to and carried to the soil by salts. Salts draw moisture and there by destroys the soil life. If you put salt on a slug it will die very quickly because it "breaths" through its skin, if it drys out it will suffocate and die. Good healthy soil contains billions of microbes, with a lot of organic matter for them to eat. The "waste" that they give off is what a plant absorbs through its roots. The organic matter brings a looseness to the soil which allows a much higher oxygen content. More oxygen and plenty of food for a whole food chain of microbial life just as we see above ground on a larger scale. Hundreds of species of microbes feeding off each other in a delicate balance called "nature". Each application of chemical fertilizer is a death sentence to the soils life.
A similar process is happening on the above ground portion of a plant as well. Its outer surface carries tiny microbes that protect it from disease and pests. Chemical pesticides destroy this protective coating and leave it to the open air. The plant is now defenseless against anything that happens along such as a fungus spore or a mite. Once its coat of protection is stripped away you can only expect to need more chemicals to keep it protected. Another circle of life begins as you add animal manures to your soil. Animals such as rabbitts and chickens will provide a lot of important nutrients to your soil. We will feed them chemical free food from our gardens and in turn we will have healthy animals with healthy manures. We have all become squemish of life, driven by big dollar advertising that promises to "protect" us from everything. The truth is they want your money, and usually their protection only makes things worse. Simply put , "the wrong path was taken for agriculture". Petro-Chemical fertilizers are like shooting your veins full of cocaine instead of ingesting food for your energy. It bypasses the natural soil process and makes beautiful looking plants with very little nutrients. If your growing a garden with chemicals, you are literally wasting your time, the fruit of your labor will not be any better than what you find in the grocery store. Look at the numbers for a moment, a common fertilizer is 13-13-13, This tells you that for every 100 lbs of fertilzer you get 13 lbs each of Nitrogen, Phosphorous and Potassium. This means you are actually getting 39 lbs of chemical and 61 lbs of literally "industrial waste product" to make up the rest of the weight. There is no regulation in this country of what this waste may be. This waste will be in you plants and in your soil when you are done. America really doesnt need better health care, we need healthy food that has good nutrition without harmful chemicals. HEALTH starts with the food you eat, not the pharmaceutical you have to take to make your body ignore POOR NUTRITION. It is up to you and me to get agriculture back on track. Organics is very un-popular with AG companies because the truth is "you need very little from them" to grow food full of flavor with high nutrient densities. Most everything you "need" can be grown yourself, compost crops such as alfalfa and vetch. You will learn to compost every portion of a plants waste, such as beet tops which have high magnesium content, and return it to your soil where it will in turn feed the next cycle of life. Growing organically is not easy, mostly because it is difficult to find quality organic products locally and know how to use them. Our products and information will help you be successful. Our Organic Fertilizers are uniquely blended with the NATURES' Essential Minerals required for feeding the soils microbial life. A virtual solar system of life will be created in your soil to feed your soil which in turn will feed your plants. You Will grow HIGH NUTRIENT DENSITY plants, full of flavor, full of vitamins and minerals with our products. Our mission is to help you make this transition, giving you information and methods to grow your own food. Unfortunately "We are EXACTLY what we eat!"
